How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected when you share it with us. This could, for example, be data you enter on a contact form or send via email. Other data is collected automatically or with your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website. These data are primarily technical data, such as the browser and operating system you are using.

Note on Names and Draw Sessions: Name lists, recent winners, balls held in the pipe, and the bowl layout stay in your browser under names-lottery.draw-session.v1 so a draw can continue after you reopen the site. We do not store this session data on our servers. If you share a link, the names and current draw state are included in that link so the recipient can continue the same draw. Anyone with the link can see that information. Hosting logs may include the requested URL.

Saved name lists: You can save named lists (a list title and the participant names) in this browser. Saved lists are stored separately from the live draw session, under names-lottery.saved-lists.v1. Use the button under Participants to save a list. Use the star dropdown above Participants to load or delete a saved list. We do not store saved lists on our servers. Clearing this site's browser storage removes them.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the proper functioning of the website. Other data can be used to analyze how visitors use the site.

2. Hosting and Content Delivery Networks (CDN)

Vercel

We host our website with Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you visit our website, Vercel collects various log files including your IP addresses. For details, see the Vercel Privacy Policy.

Vercel is used in the interest of a secure, fast, and efficient provision of our online service (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR).

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Right to Revoke Your Consent to Data Processing

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator. 4. Consent-Based Analytics (Google Analytics)

Google Analytics is loaded only after you select Accept in the privacy notice. Before consent, the browser does not request the Google Analytics script or send an analytics page view. If you reject the notice, analytics remains disabled.

When enabled, Google Analytics processes technical usage information such as page views, browser and device details, and an analytics identifier. Names entered into the lottery, and draw details in a shared link, are not sent as analytics event parameters. Page views are recorded without the address-bar query string. Your choice is stored in this browser under names-lottery.consent.v1. You can revoke consent by clearing this site's browser storage.

5. Serverless Database & Global Draw Counter (Upstash Redis)

To power our anonymous global draw counter, we use Upstash Redis (hosted via Vercel Storage).

What data is stored?

The database stores only a single aggregate integerrepresenting the total global count of completed draws across all users worldwide (names_lottery_total_draws).

Is user data tracked?

No. No user IDs, IP addresses, names, cookies, or personal identifiers are sent to, logged, or stored in the database when a draw occurs or when the counter is fetched. The increment action is completely anonymous.
