A visible pick

A paper slip in a hat works, but nobody can tell what happened inside the hat. A hidden random number is worse. Names Lottery keeps every name on a ball, mixes in the bowl, and sends one ball down the pipe. The group can watch the pick.

Free and local

The tool should stay free. Names live in your browser. We do not sell lists, run ads against your classroom, or ask for an account before you can draw.

Not a betting site

This is an organization tool, not a casino. It does not take money or pay prizes. If you run a raffle or giveaway, you still follow your local rules.
